While one definition of “glycan” encompasses all oligo- and polysaccharides, a glycan is often more specifically refers to an oligosaccharide N- or O- linked to a protein. Furthermore, the O-linked sugars tend to be monosaccharides. The Dextra library of glycans represents a range of branched oligosaccharides.
