Jim re-joined NZP-Dextra in April 2013, following an earlier period with company from 2008-2010. He now has all sales, marketing and business development responsibilities for NZP, Dextra and Just the Berries. Jim is a seasoned business development professional having spent over 20 years in commercial roles within the fine chemical, pharmaceutical and chemical process development sectors. He has led API and chemical development sales teams at Aptuit, providing coaching and mentoring for a word-wide team, and occupied senior sales and business development roles at PhosphonicS, Evotec, Penwest Pharmaceuticals and Genzyme. |

Dr Alex Weymouth-Wilson-Chief Scientific Officer

Alex completed his graduate and postgraduate education at the University of Reading receiving his PhD in 1993 under the supervision of Professor John Mann. With 14 years' experience in the fine chemical industry at Dextra, Isochem and CMS, Alex has extensive synthetic experience developing innovative scalable routes to key intermediates and API's predominately in the field of carbohydrates. Alex was appointed Chief Scientific Officer of Dextra and NZP in 2011. |

Dr Karen Etherington-Director, Quality & Administration

Karen joined Dextra in 2006 to manage the analytical and quality functions at the Reading site. Having worked for the WHO, been instrumental in the founding and expansion of Warwick Analytical Service, the head of Analytical Chemistry at Ultrafine and SAFC in Manchester she has significant experience in the research, development, manufacturing, quality and regulatory activities related to the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients. |

Dr Andy Hacking-Research Director

Co-founder of the company. Specialist in the biological functions and medical applications of carbohydrates. Specific interests in neoglycoconjugates, biotransformations, the immunology of carbohydrates, carbohydrate vaccines and the role of carbohydrates in evolution. |

Andy Lewis-Executive Director

Andy joined NZP in April 2005 as General Manager of NZP Ltd. In September 2009 Andy oversaw the acquisition of Dextra, by NZP Holdings and has since held the role of Executive Director for the UK subsidiary, in addition to his role as Director for the Just the Berries business. In March 2010 Andy was appointed to the role of CEO for NZP responsible also for JTB and Dextra. Prior to NZP, Andy gained experience managing a number of manufacturing companies across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as leading business mergers & transitions. Andy holds a BSc in Technology Management, an MBA from Massey University and is a Member of the NZ Institute of Directors. |
