These have been obtained by synthesis, isolation and degradation. They include O-linked structures, blood group A,B,O and Lewis antigens and sialyated compounds. We specialise too in a range of antigens with the terminal Gal 1-Gal(Galili) determinant and are developing an unrivalled range of complex N-linked structures.
We have developed an extensive range of neoglycoproteins, neoglycolipids and biotinylated sugars using proprietary linker technology.
Our collection of over 50 natural N-glycans covers all the main types found in animals, plants, fungi and viruses. We also have a panel of 14 N-glycans from IgG suitable for complete analysis and characterisation of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, plus some rare forms characteristic of defective pathological forms of IgG.
These are well known as selective inhibitors of carbohydrate processing enzymes, they are useful as tools to study the role of glycan structure in molecular biology. Examples are currently available from the pyrrolidine, piperidene, and indolizidine sub-classes.
